Apple's next iPhone is still about three months away from being officially unveiled.

But a new video clip may give us the best glimpse yet of what the hotly-anticipated device will look like.

Posted to X, the leaked clip reveals the case for the iPhone 16, which has allegedly been moulded to the new phone's exact specifications.

It suggests iPhone 16 will have a new button located on the right hand side, which could be a game-changer for selfie fans.

Due to be released in September, iPhone 16 is expected to be the most expensive smartphone that Apple has ever released, according to some reports.

The video was posted to X (Twitter) by @UniverseIce, who is described by TechRadaras a 'reliable' tipster who leaks information on tech products.

In the clip, the edge of the case clearly has a slot where users would be able to press the new button.

Referred to as the 'Capture Button', it enable users to activate the camera much quicker than before, making sure they catch fleeting moments.

With a single press, the Capture Button will take photos and start video clips and will offer users an alternative to tapping away at the screen.

This is corroborated by previously leaked image renders that show the new button in same position – on the edge to the right of the screen, below the existing power button.

What's more, the new clip suggests the camera lenses on the back will be arranged vertically rather than diagonally – again supporting claims from a prior leak.

It's unclear why Apple would be opting for this vertical lens alignment, although it could be to do with the new Vision Pro headset.

According to BGR, Apple wants all its iPhones to shoot 'spatial video' that can be played on the Vision Pro, but this requires a vertical camera setup.

Having already been released in the US, the Vision Pro will be released in the UK next month for the eye-watering price of £3,499.

MailOnline has contacted Apple for comment, although the tech giant generally does not remark upon any rumours prior to a release.

Just like last year's iPhone 15, the iPhone 16 is expected to be released in four different versions – iPhone 16 (the standard model), iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

However, it's not certain whether all four iPhone 16 models with get the Capture Button, or what model the case in the new clip would fit.

According to MacRumours, the screen size of the two Pro models – the two most expensive options – will get bigger compared to the iPhone 15 equivalents.

The size of the screen on the Pro model will increase from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, while the Pro Max screen size will go from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches, it reports.

Although exact prices are unclear, it's expected to surpass the iPhone 15, which starts at £799/$799 for the standard model, while the most expensive variation, the Pro Max, starts at £1,199/$1,199 and goes up to £1,599/$1,599 for 1TB of storage.

Renders also show Apple is working on the iPhone SE 4, the latest in Apple's 'budget' SE smartphone line and an upgrade on the iPhone SE 3 from 2022.

The release of iPhone 16 will be accompanied by a new major software update, iOS 18, which will feature a slew of AI-powered features – unless you're in the EU.
