Emma Watson and brother launch their popular Renais Gin in the US as the brand goes global - and here's how Aussies can finally get their hands on it
Harry Potter star Emma Watson and her brother Alex have taken the spirits world by storm with their luxurious gin brand, Renais.
After a successful debut in the UK last year, Renais Gin is now available in the United States, reaching over 40 states, and finally accessible to Australian fans.
Over the weekend, the Watsons celebrated their official US launch with an extended campaign for Renais, which Emma herself directed and styled.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, she shared the exciting news with her 74.6 million followers, offering them a glimpse into the brand's inception, backstory, and core values through an intimate and lighthearted film.
The campaign was a family affair, self-produced without any ad agency involvement.
Aussies hoping to get their hands on the gin can currently only do so online via United Cellars, Master of Molt or Winetopia.
'I am very proud to share my director's cut commercial for @renaisspirits to celebrate us heading to the United States,' Watson wrote in her Instagram post.
'The US has been my second home since I first went to Brown in Rhode Island, so I am thrilled to be bringing Renais abroad and home again! Making this with friends and family has been one of the most rewarding, creative experiences I've ever had.'
The Watson siblings created Renais Gin in July last year after being inspired by their family's rich history in winemaking.
Over three decades ago, their father, Chris Watson, planted the family vineyards in Chablis, France.
Renais reportedly reflects the traditions and craftsmanship of Northern France by boasting a complex yet smooth palate.
Crafted from reclaimed French wine grapes and natural botanicals, it's also sustainably distilled.
Renais Gin has already made a mark in the UK, Italy, and Germany, selling over 10,000 bottles.
Emma previously expressed her pride in this family project, highlighting the significance of the Chablis region in her upbringing and the joy of collaborating with her brother Alex.
'To me, Renais is a family project, not only does the Chablis region evoke very special memories of growing up, I've loved having the opportunity to create something with my brother Alex,' she shared in a statement.
Emma has gushed about her close relationship with her brother, crediting him as someone who helped her 'find the most challenging things, with time, incredibly funny.'
