Ramsdale shines as Arsenal beat Everton 3-1
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale made several crucial saves to help his team secure a 3-1 victory over Everton at Goodison Park.
The 23-year-old, who joined the Gunners from Sheffield United in August, denied Richarlison, Demarai Gray and Alex Iwobi with superb reflexes and positioning. He also showed his confidence and composure with the ball at his feet, playing out from the back and launching quick counter-attacks.
Ramsdale has been one of Arsenal's standout performers this season, keeping eight clean sheets in 14 Premier League games and earning rave reviews from fans and pundits. He has also been called up to the England squad for the World Cup qualifiers in November.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised Ramsdale's performance and said he was delighted with his signing. 'He's been fantastic since he joined us. He's been very consistent, very brave, very positive. He's a leader on and off the pitch. He's been a great addition to the team.'
Ramsdale said he was enjoying his time at Arsenal and credited his teammates for helping him settle in. 'It's been amazing. I've been welcomed by everyone. The fans have been brilliant. The players have been brilliant. I'm just trying to do my best for the team and enjoy every moment.'
